East Carolina Plastic Modelers (IPMS New Bern, NC) are happy to announce that we will be holding our DownEastCon 2024 on July 20, 2024.
The main theme will be to honor those who served in 'The Korean War'. This will include any model that represents those nations and the vehicles, equipment, and personnel present in Korean War from 1950 to 1953. The lists of Nation involved (for acceptable markings) are listed on page 2 of our category/rules. (See Forms Button below)
We also have sub-theme that will be 'Shoot the Moon'. If our show date (July 20th), looks familiar it is because on July 20, 1969, Neal Armstrong was the first man to place his foot print on the moon. We will honor our Real Space heroes with those models representing Apollo missions 11 to17. For more details, find them on page 2 of our category/rules. (See Forms Button below)
ECPM will be holding the contest using IPMS/USA guidelines as of the posting (Sept 20, 2023). So, all the usual categories and more.
