Another great tip from David Mohr!
Some vehicle kits include small diameter vinyl tubing that is used to simulate radiator/brake hoses or wiring. This can be difficult to work with, especially where the tubing has to be bent in multiple directions. If the inside diameter is large enough, try inserting a length of bendable wire (I've used straightened paper clips) into the tube and then shaping it to fit the installation. The wire holds the proper shape and also reduces stress on the connecting points at each end.

When working with a small part and it accidently falls to the floor (it happens to all of us),
I've found two techniques particularly handy for retrieving it. For a hard-surface floor (concrete, tile, wood, etc.) turn off the overhead lights, lay a flashlight on the floor and sweep the beam side to side. Even a small part will cast a noticeable shadow when lit from the side and you will be surprised how well it stands out. For low-pile carpeting or a rug, take one of those sticky rollers used to pick up pet hair and run it over the floor under your workbench. I once recovered a tiny clear landing light this way that would have been impossible to see otherwise.
